Management Jobs in Dubai

Leaders are in High Demand in Dubai

Managers are in High Demand in Dubai

Notwithstanding its exceptional growth, Dubai still lacks high-caliber executives to manage the city’s growing number of companies and operations. As a result, employers in Dubai have frequently relied on the experience, knowledge and talent of seasoned executives from abroad to help manage companies and various projects. These executives come to Dubai to implement structures, policies, and business models, thereby often transferring their highly valuable know how to the local talent. Because most industries in Dubai still lack structure, executives’ jobs in Dubai can be exceptionally challenging. In order to attract the best international talent, Dubai employers have used attractive compensation packages, with compensation and benefits usually higher than in developed Western countries. For the reference, compared to Dubai, median salaries in the U.S. start out higher for those with less experience, but end up lower than the salaries in Dubai for those with many years of experience. Comparing salaries by job title, median construction project manager salaries in the U.S. are about $16,000 less than project manager salaries in Dubai. Often, Dubai compensation packages also include compensation benefits such as free luxury accommodation and similar perks.

So, even though Dubai may not be the right place for new entrants in the job markets or professionals with a few years of experience, it definitely offers attractive employment opportunities for managers, executives, and highly skilled specialists. These professionals are usually expected to have education and experience from the developed market economies, with work experience usually exceeding seven years of relevant experience. Leadership skills, communication skills, and international/cultural skills are also highly valued. Opportunities exist even for professionals with limited work experience but high level of technical knowledge in a particular field (i.e. holders of Ph.Ds from reputable universities).
