1,500 jobs available with Hilton UAE – 4 hotels to open in Dubai

Hilton UAE is on a hiring spree across different emirates in the country. Various positions have opened up in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah within the different hotels run by the brand.

The jobs have opened up in different departments like: guest services, front office, transportation, food, beverage and culinary, engineering, maintenance and facilities, procurement, purchasing and receiving etc.

Hilton expects to open a further five hotels across UAE during 2013 – four in Dubai and one in Ras Al Khaimah. The additions to the portfolio comprise DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach; DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel & Residences; DoubleTree by Hilton Bur Dubai; Conrad Dubai and Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah,

The scale of openings will require an extra 1,500 team members for the UAE.

Starting next week, jobseekers in the UAE will get a chance to meet employers across different sectors in the country, right from the comfort of their home.

Jobs portal Bayt.com is organising an online job fair that will run from March 24 to March 28, 2013, open to all registered jobseekers. Once logged in, candidates will be able to apply for jobs at any time, at their own convenience and from the privacy and comfort of their own home, claims the online portal, adding that registration is free of charge.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – March 21, 2013 – Social media can have a dramatic impact on job hunting and entrepreneurship in the MENA region, according to a ground-breaking study by Dubai School of Government’s Governance and Innovation Program and SAP.

Focusing on Arab youth, the most extensive survey of its kind ever conducted found that 70 per cent of respondents believed social media can help youth find jobs. 75 per cent of viewed it as an essential channel to the virtual job market and 76 per cent hailed its networking capabilities. Furthermore, 84 per cent stated they could garner entrepreneurial skills by being social media-savvy.
