Imagine thousand of others, just like you, sending their CVs to all openings. There is no human being can go through all the emails in just 8 hours of work. If you go to small companies, you will see that all workers are almost from the same nationality. Why? because HR usually hires friends and friends of friends. So, my best advice to you is to socialize and network, not to send impersonal emails.

I am not a job Hunter but I work as a Business Manager for one of the 30 Year old companies settled in UAE and abroad. You get through jobs through people as what Mohammed just said – its about being friends and see if you can get an informal interview with the top guys otherwise its useless because we are powerless as recrutiment has been stopped since 1 year now.
But slowly the market is recovering and things will take time – what matters is influence and people is the best way to get a job, whether it would be any. Dont expect people to go through CV’s – walkthrough through a friend and ensure that you get an informal interview. This should atleast give you a ray of light if the Boss likes you – he will create an opening for you. Be careful when you apply for govt vacancies because its very unlikely these days that they recruit expats unless exceptionally influenced, so dont waste time knocking on wrong doors.
Last but not the least – this market is full of Sales, Sales & Sales – and if you know how to double their revenue, knowing if you prepare a business plan which looks and have relaistic figures for their inductry profits – trust me your onboard.
Be different today – dont take a resume – make a presentation on how to sell yourself, how you can be an asset to their organization and how it can profit them. You still stand a Hero and ask them sometime to prove them and I am sure all of you who are there can win it, because end of the day its all a Win Win situation.
