WAM Dubai, Mar 27th, 2013 (WAM) – In support of, and in partnership with the Absher Initiative inaugurated by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, du has announced the launch of the Absher Plan, effective from today.
The Absher Initiative is being closely monitored by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs to ensure implementation, and du is fulfilling its duty as a national organization by supporting the President’s vision.
The Plan will be the first unique plan of its kind specifically designed for Emiratis working in the private sector, giving them a range of value-added benefits in support of their contributions towards the UAE. This step comes in association with the Ministry of Presidential affairs and Ministry of Labour under the Absher initiative.
du is a key partner of the Absher Initiative, and the Absher Plan represents a milestone achievement in the company’s efforts to support the UAE, its leadership, government, and the Emirati people.
The step was announced during a joint press conference addressed today by Humaid Bin Demas Suwaidi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Labour and Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du.
Humaid Suwaidi, said: “The Absher Initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, can play a significantly impact in encouraging UAE nationals to join the private sector. This is especially true given that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, announced 2013 as the year of Emiratisation. We are confident that we will achieve optimal results thanks to the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.” He added: “On behalf of the Ministry of Labour and the UAE government, we would like to thank du for taking this important step. The Absher Plan comes in three denominations to suit the needs and lifestyle of Emiratis employed by the UAE private sector.
